The story of the Druze bereavement from a new perspective – the feminine point of view. Hinadi, Salma, Najawa, Bador and Rima are Druze women who have lost their beloved. Without any inhibitions, with openness and sensitivity they relate their own private Druze bereavement.
In the film Rubik Rosenthal, author and reporter, who lost his brother in the Yom Kippur War, goes out to learn about the Druze bereavement through encounters with Druze women who experienced bereavement on their own flesh and blood – bereaved widows, mothers, sisters and daughters. Their moving stories embrace the unique existence of their community. The Druze tradition, transmigration of souls, the attitude towards fate, living as a minority in the State of Israel and identifying with it at moments of crisis, and mainly the brave daily tackling with the loss – in all these Rosenthal finds the different yet also his own pain and as he himself attests - "The brotherhood of the bereaved brings you closer, and for a split moment it has grace and consolation".

בסרט יוצא רוביק רוזנטל, סופר ועיתונאי, שכל את אחיו במלחמת יום כיפור, ללמוד את השכול הדרוזי במפגשים עם נשים דרוזיות שחוו את השכול על בשרן – אלמנות, אמהות, אחיות ובנות שכולות. סיפוריהן המרגשים מקפלים בתוכם את ההוויה הייחודית של העדה. המסורת הדרוזית, גלגול הנשמות, ההתייחסות אל הגורל, החיים כמיעוט במדינה וההזדהות עימה ברגעי משבר ובעיקר ההתמודדות האמיצה, היומיומית עם האובדן – בכל אלה מוצא רוזנטל את השונה אך גם את כאבו שלו וכפי שהוא עצמו מעיד – "אחוות השכולים מקרבת, ולרגע קט יש בה חסד ונחמה".
